Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing food items under the acceptable conditions as outlined under state and local regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Follow all established policies and procedures, and additionally, may be directed by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Food and Nutrition Services, to further assure that quality food services is provided at all times

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices as applied to institutional kitchen
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs or more and must be able to stand for long periods of time

Preferred Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in institutional food handling
  • Culinary school graduate
